about

Jisatsu is the newest single from the Panamanian metal band Myria and will be part of their upcoming album that is in the works. This song was written back in 2017 and has been a fan favorite and a staple in their shows since then.
It deals with the inner struggles inherent to the human nature, from the perspective of a troubled being in a personal level and from a global standpoint.
Rooted in a melodic death metal background, it rapidly evolves by incorporating progressive and symphonic metal elements and grasping influences from other genres.
It's a great sample of what will be coming next and the ever-changing musical journey the band is willing to make you part of.

lyrics

Now open wide
Swallow the edge of the knife
Heart and veins bleed
Eroding your life

Blade destroying vessels
Blood gushing out
You left your life wondering
What the fuck went wrong
You gave everything for granted
You were filled with contempt
Now you are finishing
Your useless existence

Life is not warranted
To a piece of shit like you
Your crimes to nature
Will not exonerate you

Atonement is not enough
Penitence is not guaranteed

This life you thought you owned
Is now fading away
Your soul is withering
Clinging to what little is left

The blade will cleanse
The blade will purge you

Slashing your sins away
Severing your being

Your sacrifice
Your demise
