God of Greed is the second single from the upcoming album of the Panamanian metal band Myria. It revolves around the concept of money, how society has elevated it to a godlike status and how far humans can go to obtain it. The composition evokes a mixture of feelings, ranging from anger and hatred, to despair and nostalgia.
The song remains true to the band's melodic death metal sound with its symphonic components and progressive undertones, but also experiments with some additional electronic elements. It was recorded and produced by the band itself and released independently on February 15, 2021.
